Include date in filenames

I'm using Sage only as recording program on my server. I use xbox'es around the house for playback. I've tried the xbmc script but it's much too slow.

So I was wondering, is it possible to include the date of the recording in the filename? And also why are the spaces deleted in the filenames?

I've come from snapstreams beyond tv which saves files as:
Top Gear-2008-08-08-0.mpg

Is this also possible with Sage?
