SageTV 6.4 visual problem

Sometimes the channel numbers just disappear from the small box on the left side between channel up and channel down arrows. Also in the program guide the channel numbers disappear but the show discription is there.
What could be the problem? Latest Java is installed and I am using dvbdrea, 1.4 with the newest sagetv module.

The arrows up and down to change the channels and text and channel numbers just disapeear. What is this?

I'm having the exact same issues. Actually at times the guide disappears and the top portion of the osd disappears and features within the bottom portion of the osd disappear as well.

I really enjoy the software and am looking to purchase it but want to make sure everything is working normally as it should.

Could you post a screen shot of what it looks like?

Double check that the video card driver, DirectX, and Java really are up to date. If you have multiple versions of Java installed, remove them al & reinstall the latest.

After that contact SageTV tech support.

Thanks for your reply. I think removing all other java instances has helped a little. Although I still do experience some issues still. I will post a screen shot when it happens again.

I have this problem also. I have my EPG set up for 4 columns by 7 rows. Sometimes 3 or 4 out of the 7 rows will not be visible when I page-up/page-down until I do a single arrow up or arrow down on that page. I've had this with all the 6.4 betas and the 6.4 release. It's sporadic though, not very reproducible.

• I just did a clean system install with Vista SP1 and all updates as of about 9/20/2008
• Latest Java (Version 6 Update 7) and only one version installed
• Nvidia 8600GT with driver version 169.??. I have to use an older version because the newer versions cause very bad video stutter with mpeg-2, VMR-9, and any DXVA mpeg-2 decoder. Hopefully this will be resolved when sage adds support for EVR (nudge nudge).

Reformated the drive with xp sp3 and reinstalled newest sage trial. After 1 hour the lower part of the pane just disappears, connection to serve box pops up and flickers and unable to change channels hence unresponsive to channel change.

As I told you in PMs and as I posted above: update the drivers, if updates are available, post a screen shot if you can get it, and submit a tech support request to SageTV.
