Upgrade from 6.4.4beta to 6.4.8 and HDHR

Upgrade from 6.4.4beta to 6.4.8 and have nothing but channel config problems with my HD HomeRun box.

Doing a fresh install and copying over the wiz.bin yielded me with no video signal on any of the previously set channels for the HDHR.

So I re-install all of the new HDHR drivers. Re-install sage 6.4.8. Remove the video sources, re-add them. SageTV still thinks it's got m previous old channel remaps. So i go and reset all of the remaps on all of the HDHR-based channels. Remove the video sources, re-add. Then I run the channel scan like the HDHR instructions say, and it finds all of the lower clearQAM channels like it's supposed to. Doing a "view" on say channel 5-KHO yields a video signal. Green button is checked. Great I think.

But wait, go to the guide and none of the channels I've selected for the source in the HDHR video source are listed! What in the world!

Anyone have an idea on how to see the channels I've selected to show up in the guide?

Yet more info. Apparently the scan operation in Sage grabs info from the HDHR setup software.

What seems to be getting really messed up is that the previous version of HDHR & Sage required me to do a physical channel remap (i.e. channel 5 KPHO needed to be mapped to [36]).

Now it appears that 6.4.8 manages to remember the remap even if I remove the video source. It then re-applies that map then the info from the HDHR channel editor on the scan. None of the channels are mapped correctly according to my lineup based on my zipcode.

Argh! Any idea on how to manually edit the sage.properties and nuke all of the remap info?

If the channels are enabled in Channel Setup, then they are in the Program Guide, but they might be listed under a different channel number than you expect if the same channel is also on another lineup using a different channel number. See the Program Guide section of chapter 3 in the PDF manual.

And, just in case you weren't following these instructions, here is the HDHR setup procedure when using SageTV on Windows:

Figured out most of it after about 2-3 hours of banging thru the video setup. The key that I was missing was to use the HDHR setup config software, map the broadcast channels to the actual digital ones and disable the ones I didn't want (the smaller 544x480i re-broadcasts). I had to go thru and reset the logical mapping and then the physical mapping to clean out the previous install.

However now I can't get it to update the guide info for the channels on the HDHR box. I've done the delete/add in the video setup to force a guide update, but no luck. I'm wondering if the setup of the vid source is the issue- I used the "copy lineup option" for both the 0 and 1 instance of the HDHR.

Any thoughts on this?

My setup is an HDHR set for the ClearQAM channels (2-21). I've got Hauppauge 350 & 1600 cards in the box, and an HD-PVR external picking up the digital upper digital signals off of Cox.

What's the best way to setup the lineup for all of these?

Did you follow the instructions I posted above, including the HDHR setup step where it says to open the Zap2it listings for your lineup in a browser and rename the channels in the HDHR channel editor to match the names that Zap2it uses? The names must match exactly -- if Zap2it uses WCBSDT, then you can't use WCBS-DT or else you will need to remap the channel in SageTV yourself.
