Thank you SageTV, but I have questions . . .
First off THANK YOU!
I have a standard HVR-1600 and running vista x64. I had tried MCE, MediaPortal, Meedio, etc. I always had issues getting my svideo from STB (SA-8300HDC) working since I don't have a "Microsoft" IR receiver. Now that I have most everything working with SageTV, I have some questions. Currently using latest version of SageTV Trail, WinTV IR Blaster, WinTV Remote. 1. The IR blaster changes channels fine, however there seems to be a delay. I have to wait a few seconds between each button pressed. It gets somewhat annoying, I would like to be able to use just like STB remote 2. Picture quality sucks coming from STB. I'm not sure what I can do to improve it, but its fuzzy. I've tried to play around with the detailed setting and no not seem to make it any better. Thank in Advance, Squeeky |

As far as picture quality...what graphics card, driver version, and MPEG2 decoder are you using. My SD quality from a straight cable out of the wall is more than passable with an 8600GT and NVIDIA decoder. This is on a 52" 1080p LCD. What recording quality are you using?

Are you waiting for Sage to send the button to the STB before hitting the next one? That's not how it works, you just punch in a channel in Sage, and then Sage tunes the STB to that.

Polypro, I will check everything when I get home, but I believe they are all back to the default settings.
In reguards to the remote issue, it just seems to be taking awhile for sage to understand the task. Say I press 123 in a row. Main times Sage will just get the 1 and then I have to press 2 wait a few seconds then 3. Sage is sending the correct command to STB, just taking it awhile to register the inputs. |

There is an option to change this but have you tried 123-enter? You can enable or disable the auto-accept inactivity timeout. I think Sage is waiting for further input and is timing out and changing the channel for you. That time is based on your inactivity timeout.
