Best S-Vid capture card on the market?
I currently have the PVR-150 and a PVR-500 from hauppauge, which capture video and audio from my STBs. I am fairly unhappy with the video quality of their captures (and have been since I got them 3 years a go). I also have a HD-PVR from Hauppauge and when I capture via svideo using that the stream looks great (oboviously it is still SD though). I now use the HD-PVR for HD content only (a component connection) and am back to using the pvr-150 s-vid input from my stb.
I know there have been millions of tv capture cards released since I purchased my 150 and 500, are any of them any better at capturing s-video that what I have? I looked and they ALL use MPEG2 capturing still, while the HD-PVR uses h.264 compression which is much better of a method. Is there anything that works with sage that is better out there? |
