Customizing EPG

Can anyone point to a guide or some info on customizing the Program guide /EPG in sagemc. I'd like to have a transparent guide with video in the background, which can be done in the default stv, but I can't seem to be able to finagle the themes I want to use to do so.

Edit - This might be better off in the sage studio forum - I am able to get a video background using studio, but I cannot figure out how to get rid of the video panel in the lower left, just not sure where in the guide tree this lives. As a result, when I bring up the guide it will flash video on the background for a second, and then freeze, as the smaller preview window takes over.
