Exclamation HELP-Manual HD Homerun Channel Mapping?

I have the latest beta of SageTV and updated my HD Homerun to the latest software/firmware. I have followed these instructions exactly (numerous times, including after a complete clean install of SageTV):

http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun...s/sagetv_cable

However, it seems that the mapping of channels between HD Homerun and SageTV program guide is not right, e.g. I tune NBC and get ABC instead, etc.

In an earlier version of HDHR, I had to manually map channels in SageTV. Painful, but it worked.

Can someone give me a detailed tutorial of how to Manually map channels between HDHR and SageTV, given the latest versions of both?

To be more precise, how do I remap physical channels in the SageTV channel editor to match the .scn file output from the HDHR setup program?

Those are the old instructions; you should be using these intructions with the v6.4 SageTV beta & the latest HDHR software.

It seems that the only difference between these two sets of directions is the emphasis of:

"Enter the zap2it guide number for each channel."

I think most of those were correct before, but I'll double check.

Still, can you clarify how I would hand-correct this, for either a few (or all) stations?

Thanks!

And does this imply that I no longer need to manually update the DShowCapture.dll file?

Also, do I need to edit the sage.properties files and add QAM to the lines (specified somewhere in the earlier directions)?

There are more differences than that. The guide number is not even the most important change, but it can help map to the logical number you prefer so I suggest you do include the guide numbers.

I don't think you understand that you don't really want to manually fix it in SageTV -- since you are using the latest HDHR software & SageTV beta, once you correctly configure things in the HDHR channel editor, there is very little left to do in SageTV. If you get it correct in the HDHR software, it should always be correct in SageTV for every SageTV scan after that; but if you manually correct things in SageTV, you'll need to do that every time you rescan in SageTV. You could always change a logical channel number or remap a station in SageTV's Channel Setup, but you shouldn't need to do that.

If you check the instructions that I pointed you to, you'll see that those steps aren't included. Some people have said they needed to set the QAM property, but I think that is because they selected Antenna instead of Cable in SageTV, like the old instructions specify; I don't think anyone has gotten back to me w/a log for that issue, though, and QAM shouldn't be needed in the properties file.

Please follow the instructions exactly as I posted them (and ignore everything in the old instructions) and you shouldn't run into problems. The only issues I'm currently aware of are user errors where the instructions weren't followed. But, if you find a new problem, we'll look into solving it.
