HD PVR channel changes every show?

Ok, i am running Sagetv on WHS with a HD extender. I am using firewire channel changing too. Every single time a show ends, i get a small pause as sage resends the channel to the STB. Does Sage not know its currently watching that channel and not send it. Its very annoying.

There's an option which controls channel changes when the next recording is on the same channel: Detailed Setup -> Customize -> Always tune channel.

However, it still has to stop recording to the old file & start recording to a new file, so if you are using this for live TV, there will still be a pause.
