okay, so after updating to B12, it seems much much more stable than the previous releases. even fast forwarding really fast... or rewinding is pretty good.

i still dont like how it shows my upcoming recording schedule, but hey... i hope it will get fixed.

now, my main question. one thing i like on the old version (1.4) was that it had an option to start up with windows and to start minimized.

i looked under all the options, however i didnt see something similar. any ideas?

I upgraded over an existing 1.4.10 that was set for that. The beta continued that behavior. I would think there is a settings in the properties file that might do that.

I didn't play with it but this setting seems promising:

i actually just rebuilt my system and went ahead and did a fresh install of b11. i didnt save my old 1.4 install.

where is that entry? in sage.properties?

I just take the easy way out and put a shortcut to SageTV in the Startup folder. This was because of problems that I had with XMLTV, but I kept with it out of habit.

FWIW, I just tried it in my setup and it worked just fine.
