multiple channels are same channel on lineup problems
I have Rogers Digital Cable in Ottawa, Ontario. I just got a hauppauge HD-PVR and am having problems with setting up my channel line up.
When I enable all channels, some channels are in multiple places in the lineup. For example, channel 506 = 224 = 124. SageTV sees this, but it causes a problem for me. I want to have the channel show up in all three places, however SageTV only shows it in the location I select first when going through the channel lineup. Is there a way to enable the channels in all locations? Thanks! |

Did that really do what you wanted? That property is used to control how SageTV detects repeat airings of shows with non-unique IDs, with an option in Detailed Setup -> Customize.
Channels with the same name are combined in the Program Guide, under a single channel number, but internally, SageTV knows which numbers go with which channel on each tuner. This is covered in a note at the bottom of p. 46 for the v6.4-B PDF manual, in the section for the Program Guide menu. - Andy

You are right, this did not do it for me.
The problem is that my provider duplicates channels into themes. Typically I watch HD channels, which are 500 - 540. The HD channels are also in the lower numbers respective to where the analog version is, for example 526 = 142, 524 = 148, etc. Is there no way to have Sage show both these on the guide? Even with both channels turned on in the channel lineup, the program guide still removes the dupolicate channels and won't let me tune to it or see what is on them. |
