Explain recording options, Please
I have been given a new DSM-330 Divx player. I need SageTV to record in DivX or MPEG4. How is this done?
Otherwise, I will have to convert each file from MPEG2 to DivX. That takes forever. Is this something that is tied to my tuners (Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II) (Times 2)?

Your tuners only record in MPEG2 this has nothing to do with SageTv your only option is to convert to Divx... or you can get a tuner that records to divx which is supported by SageTv.

There is a hack for the DSM-330 that will allow it to see all video files, not just divx files. When I get a chance, I'll look around and see if I can find it... That would be your best bet for sure.
UPDATE: Here's the how-to on making the DSM-330 "see" more than DIVX video files. Makes that machine a LOT more useful
