UPDATE: HDHR direct QAM working!

Using SageTV 6.5.4beta and SiliconDust 20080711beta1
No More 68 channel limit.

See THIS THREAD for details!

Visit the SiliconDust HDHR site for setup instructions: SageTV beta (ATSC / native QAM) instructions

You may need to edit your sage.properties file (while sageTV is closed), make this change for each HDHR tuner:
mmc/encoders/-1527672422/dshow_tv_type= << change to dshow_tv_type=QAM

If the HDHR Setup application continues to display a REMAP column then it's not detecting that you've updated your SageTV to 6.4.5beta or greater. It may be necessary to save your wiz.bin and begin with a fresh install.

If your .scn files contain (major:0 minor:0) then you'll probably need to hand-remap your channels after completing the channel scan. Use the CH:xx assignment and REMAP / Assign Physical Channel.

If after a 'scan for Additional Channels' your channel lineup looks wonky (channel 702 is now 28-28-2, etc) then use REMAP / Reset Logical Channel to put them back right.

If you're missing channels, or they just didn't get assigned a physical remap, you can use the info in the QAM.frq file to assign those channels a remap/physical. It's easiest is to use the CH:xx number, but you can find the major:xx minor:yy and enter it as xx-yy, or use phy:zz major:xx minor:yy and enter it as zz-xx-yy

When you click the 'Apply' button in the HDHR Setup (Lineup) application it will DELETE your QAM.frq file and break SageTV HDHR tuning. You will need to use 'Scan for Additional Channels' to recreate the file to correctly tune. You *could* create a backup copy of QAM.frq and use it to recover from any unforeseen user error.

EACH tuner will need a QAM.frq file.
