Avermedia M780 occasionally crashes SAGETV when tuning NTSC

Love the M780 ... ran one flawlessly for a year under BTV prior to converting to SAGE . Recently bought a second for my new Sage Server. When running either M780 under Sage I have experienced an issue tuning Analog Cable. As Sage tries to tune an analog channel for the first time after initial powerup or after S3 sleep, SAGE will occasionally crash with an error in MPEG2DUMP.ax Once restarted, analog tunes fine. ATSC tuning seems to be no problem.

This happens when running either SAGETV or SAGETV Service.

M780 Driver 2.5.0.19 ... also tried 2.5.0.14

I have run two different M780's in two different systems and both have shown this error.

A search of forums yielded only a few vague references to this, so I am currently trying to resolve this with help from Sage Support, but thought I would poll users also. Are there any M780 users out there running XP Pro who have seen this and found a cure?

Thanks for any help, Tom

I have 2 M780s that exhibit similar behavior (I use Digital antenna and S-Video).

I haven't fixed the problem... I just don't let me server sleep and rarely reboot it, so it's not too bad.

Thanks for the info BFisher. Glad I'm not alone .... sad part given my experience with this tuner under BTV it never missed a beat after S3 sleep. It even rivaled the Divco for stabilty.... just plain worked! Hopefully we can run across a solution, given the M780s performance with BTV, it must be possible.
