Go directly to Watch Live TV

Hi,

My family isn't so tech savvy and they hate how they have to go to Watch Live TV and click on it to get to the live tv. They aren't concerned with any of the other features (I do but they don't) all they want is TV.

So my question basically is "Is it possible to make it so that when I open SageTV it goes directly to the TV and NOT the Main menu?"

So I want to open up SageTv and NOT go to the main menu but straight to TV..

Any help is appreciated!

wow I thought this would be an easy one, any tech people here who can help me on how to bypass the main menu at startup?

What are you using for a remote? Do you use girder or eventghost? If you do, then you could program a button on your remote to open liveTV in SageTV instead of simply starting SageTV in the main menu.

To be honest, most of the people here are using Sage so they never have to be exposed to live tv. In fact, at my house, my young son is barred from watching Live TV! If I catch him watching live TV, he has to turn off the TV and find something else to do.

If it is your wife that isn't tech savvy, I'm sorry to say that there is little you can do, but if it is your children, then I strongly suggest you make them watch recorded shows with commercial skip. This will help limit their TV viewing and prevent them from being brain washed by commercials.
