Youtube user favorites

Hello, Im hoping to add another category to the youtube list in the online videos section. I want to add my user favorites. The benefit would be me being able to add videos on my pc and access them from this on my htpc. Is this possible?

seems like there is, the RSS URL is:

http://www.youtube.com/ut_rss?type=username&arg=[username]

where [username] equals the youtube account name.

The only reference I've seen for getting a user's Favorites, as opposed to a user's uploaded videos, is a url that doesn't provide a feed format that can be used yet. I'm checking to see if there is a way to use it.

It would require a core update -- while on the list of things to look into, it may not be added soon.

so being that it isnt possible yet.. I have another request. Id like to have a list of users uploaded videos section. So i dont have to use the search feature each time i go to view the users uploaded vids. Is it possible to edit the online videos properties files to include specific users to browse?

Try changing the names on this property, or override it in the custom properties file:

The original line is in the OnlineVideoLinks.properties file. You can edit it there, but then the next update will overwrite it, so you should add it to the CustomOnlineVideoLinks.properties file. That will override the original line, so if a SageTV update changes the line, your customized line will only get used.

ok great, I added the users to that line.. but I dont see anywhere in sagetv to access this info. I dont have a channels list on the youtube category in online media. where do i find this info in the program?

The entries from that line are displayed at Online Services -> YouTube -> Top Channels.

Maybe by installing a new version of SageTV. But, if the line was already in the properties file & you just modified it, it should be there.

What version of SageTV are you running?

Also, depending on which STV you are using: it may only be in the default STV, not SageMC.

So the channels section appears to be seperate. is there an easy way to add this to the main list?

I have no idea of the status of the online videos in SageMC; you should ask about it in that section of the forum & there is an existing topic there for that.
