The only USB HD device I could find was the Pinnacle PCTV HDTV SAT Pro USB, but theres very little information on it anywhere.

Their website has the Pinnacle PCTV Sat Pro USB listed, but not the HDTV version.

I have no idea whether it would work with sage or not.

I guess its still early days for these products.

Can't you use the HD-PVR? I thought it handled PAL as well as NTSC.

I have been eyeing this device.

Not 100% sure how it would work. From my understanding it is not supported by SageTV directly. I understand it would need a network encoder setup like DVBDream.

The HD-PVR needs a satellite decoder to do the job. If I just buy a HD usb device that's half the equipment.

Genpix unit is highly recommended. Need to use with dvbdream and sage plugin. Plugin is quite mature now and generates files which work great with client and with HD100 extender.

We aren't that fortunate on this side of the pond.

Thanks for the enlightenment.
