no "delete" for numeric text entry?!?

which button do I have to press on my MVP remote to delete a character?

Thanks for the reply! I've tried pressing stop before. It results in a square symbol! Is it because I have set the UI language to German? I get the same behaviour for the online video search dialog which provides a "delete" button on the on screen keyboard. Pressing this button ("Löschen" in german) results in the same square symbol.

For the default STV it works. I haven't tried yet to set the UI language to English.

Any ideas?

Sorry I don't have any ideas. I've never tried using any other languages. Hopefully someone else with more experience will chime in.

So I changed to English. I still get those square symbols!
I tried to change the width of the EPG columns, which got totally messed
up. The client .properties file shows \u0008 where I hit the stop button to delete a character.

Any ideas?

thanks for the replies. I finally found a minute to investigate on that issue again. It has definitely nothing to do with any mapping of remote control keys. It even happens with SageMC running on my PC.

Attached is a screenshot. For each click on the Erase button, a new square symbol is added to the input field.
