How to record US Open Playoff tomorrow?

Damn work Obviously its not on the guide yet...not sure its going to get on the guide. Its going to be on ESPN at 12 and then on NBC at 2... this is stupid, it switches at 2. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/25100215/

So should I set up a manual recording on ESPN for 2 hours, and NBC for 3 hours?

That's what I am going to do! You might get lucky that tomorrow morning the television listings are updated (and you might have to force an epg update)....but I am certainly not going to take that chance!

I'll be watching it live while attempting to recover from the sudden flu, but for those who can't catch the flu by tomorrow afternoon, I'd definitely go with manual recordings. If you have more than one tuner I'd pad the ESPN recording by 15-20 minutes then pad the NBC recording by at least an hour, if not two. Though I suspect by the 12th or 13th hole there won't be much suspense, unless Tiger's knee gives out on him completely.

I booked a client meeting on Friday afternoon about 15 minutes before I walked out the door for Monday at 4:30 today. I thought about calling the client to cancel it, but I couldn't. Damn work ethic Just got done watching it. Things worked out great. I had a 2 hour padding...and its amazing that it kept flip flopping. A good playoff round.

So much for that, huh? I sure am glad that I setup placeshifter on my work PC a few weeks ago. I was able to watch the whole round in a little 4" window in the corner of my screen while working, although I didn't get much done after about the 14th hole when it really started getting interesting.
