HD-100 startup resolution

My tv has 3 component inputs:

1. 480i/480p only
2. 720p/1080i only
3. 720p/1080i only

The actual panel resolution is 720p

I have the HD-100 connected to input 3.

When the HD-100 starts up it apparently is in 480i mode so my TV says "Unsupported resolution". I then have to press the "Video Out" button on the remote 4-5 times before it is using 720p and I can see the output.

OK, my question. Is there a way to make the HD-100 start up in 720p mode so that my family members don't have to go thru this start up step?

The default resolution is set while configuring the Video Output frmo the HD100's Settings menu -- available from the Server's menu, where you choose what SageTV server to connect to. The currently selected resolution is the one used as the default res when it connects to a server.

Yes I have already set that so that 720p is the only res that is checked but every time it is powered off and back on by the switch I have to press the video out button 5 times before I get a picture.

720p may be the mode with the check mark, but which mode is currently active on that screen? The currently active mode is the default one -- above the 480i selection, it says "Current: <mode>".

I figured it out. It does say Current: 720p but there is a long delay before the HD-100 auto switches to that mode. With the power switch off my TV says "No Input Detected" (Obviously). Shortly after turning the power switch on the TV changes to "Unsupported Resolution" and that is where I would start pressing the "Video Out" button thinking the default resolution had reverted but if I waited another 20-25 seconds it switched to 720p and I got a screen without pressing anything.

Do you work 24/7/365 there Andy? That's an amazingly fast response time my man.

Glad you figured it out because I didn't know what else to suggest.

Since that comment seems to come up fairly frequently... I never sleep. Make that: I'm triplets, so one of us is always awake. Edit: That's not true; don't believe him.

Actually, comments like yours only occur when I happen to be in my office & on the forum. No one notices that I don't reply right away when I'm out of the office & spending time with my family, like the several hours this evening prior to just now.

I tend to work late at night, so in your case, I was in the middle of updating all the beta notice posts when you posted your question.
