Move video files to new drive
I have movie video data on 2 drives. I am consolidating to one drive. Is there a way to open-up a data file and do search/replace so I don't have to do IMDB lookups all-over again?

Hello,
You should be able to do the following without loosing any of the info ( of course I would backup the hold sage directory just in case... ) 1. Add the new path in the imported videos where they will be moved to. 2. Shutdown sagetv 3. Move all of the video files to the new imported video directory 4. Set advanced_video_file_recovery=true in the sage.properties file 5. Startup Sagetv ( it will do a import scan on startup. ) 6. Verify All video data still looks correct 7. Shutdown Sagetv 8. Set advanced_video_file_recovery=false in the sage.properties file 9. Start Sagetv backup If something goes wrong, you just have to restore the Wiz.bin file Thanks, Jeff |

Thanks for the reply. I decided yesterday to just move them and do the lookup on 200 dvds. argh! ... I wish I had put-up the post a week ago.
