Not Working! Advice?

I just received my HD-PVR and am trying to get it working with SageTV. My computer specs are:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 4200+ (2.2 ghz)
1 GM RAM
ATI HD 2600 Pro Video Card
HD-PVR

This is a fresh Vista Ultimate install. The HD-PVR works perfectly using the included software. Records and plays HD great. However, I am having problems in Sage. The Live TV is choppy on all channels. Sage will also lock up after tuning into a few different channels.

I am using the latest beta build of SageTV, and the latest beta drivers for the HD-PVR. Ultimately I'd like to run the SageTV server with HD Extenders to do the viewing. I wanted to test everything and see how I like it before ordering the extenders, but of course I can't get it working very well. Any advice?

You're trying to view using SageTV on your server right?

If so, you have obviously already installed the Arcsoft software on your server PC. Follow the instructions at the bottom of this post (how to switch between h.264 codecs) and pick #3 (ArcSoft).

See if that does the trick for you.

I'm having the same issue with choppy video when viewing Live TV. Specifying the Arcsoft H.264 decoder in the SageTV Properties file does improve playback of recorded HD, but I still get choppy video when viewing Live TV with no delay. If I add a slight delay by pressing pause and then play on my remote, the stuttering goes away.

Sounds like this may help.
