problems with remote

Help please! Someone else set up sage tv for me as a gift and now I don't talk to them anymore so I have no one to help me with my problems.
I was on the computer the other day and my tv was on at the same time. I dont know what I did while on the computer but my tv screen turned to a blue screen(it didn't shut off) then the regular screen came back on. Since then my universal remove for my tv hasn't been working. I tried reprogramming it and nothing works. I even bought a new remove for the tv. I programmed the new remote but when i go to use it, it starts affecting programs ON THE COMPUTER! My Hauppauge remote still works to control my Sage TV.

I'm not sure what to suggest about that other than if the TV doesn't respond to its original remote nor the universal remote that used to work, maybe the TV has a problem. (I'm assuming new batteries were tried in the old remotes.)

As for the new remote affecting things on the computer, if the TV is from Phillips, perhaps its remote codes are similar to the Hauppauge remote.
