SageTV looses signal DVB-C

Hi,

I have some problems anout SageTV looses the TV signal after a period of time where the system hasn't been used. Only restart of the SageTV application seems to solve the problem.
Before is looses the signal, I have a perfect picture, and 100% signal strength.

My setup:
Vista Home Premium 32bit
PowerDVD 8
Intel G33 motherboard
Intel Q6600 CPU
2*2GB RAM
FloppyDTV DVB-C tuner.

I have tried both 6.3.10 and the newest beta, but with same result.

I have a similar problem with DVB-S, but it only happens when using service mode. Are you also using this mode?

Which firmware version is your FloppyDTV DVB-C updated too ?

Why I'm asking is that I myself use 2x FloppyDTV DVB-C. And the latest 1.3.0 & 1.4.0 (or 2.3.0 & 2.4.0 if you have rev .02 of hardware), have given me problems. I still use 1.2.10 firmware, and that one is stable.

It might not be the same that you experience, but it is a known problem, and there is a thread on the official Digital-Everywhere forum:

I have now installed firmware 2.2.10 instead of 2.4.10 that I used before.. And for now it is working - will keep you updated if it has solved my problem

I don't know what is ment by service mode, but have the tv connected directly to the SageTV server.

Well, I have now been running with fw 2.2.10, but it didn't solve my problem - I still think this problem is related to SageTV/codecs, but don't know how to come further in the troubleshooting....
Now my wife starts to talk about that we should just buy a PVR box from the cable company, and that I wouldn't like

Mandrup -- are you using a CAM? I have been having similar DVB-C problems (no signal/signal encrypted) with both Sage and with the DVB-C tuner in my Sony TV. The only common component is the Aston Seca CAM, and unplugging and replugging the CAM makes it all work again (in both systems).

(Service mode is where the recording component of Sage is run as a windows service, configured using the 'Sage TV Service Control App' and the user interface is a separate process. If you don't know what it is, you are unlikely to be using it )

Yes I am using Viaaccess CAM. I don't need to unplug and replugging the CAM - just have to quit, and restart the SageTV application.

Don't think that I am using service mode - just a plain installation of Sage
