Confused about Hauppuage HD PVR channel changing
Do you have to use the usb-uirt with this or can you just have the channel change through serial controller on your on your cable stb and then the signal will be decode on the fly?

If you try the included IR-Blaster, I suggest the following:
1) If you're using Vista, don't run SageTV in service mode or it won't be able to change channels. 2) Don' thave any other Hauppauge hardware in the machine (at least during setup of this device). Thsi will eliminate a lot of variables. I think that most people having trouble with the included IR-Blaster are gettingthe "hardware not found" message. If it actually finds your hardware and controls your set-top-box in the configuration program, I think you're good to go at that point. |
