Some problems with new vista load

I recently upgraded to Vista premium from xp pro and have a couple of hitches. I have done the above items to stop the media center service, but I still get an error that says the service has been disabled" with some remote control functions while I am working in sage. also, I dont have that directory structure for the properties files. any help to enlighten a new vista user?

There may be a dependency from another service causing that pop up. Go through the services using admin tools, and disable anything that says media center. (I use Business and disable UAC, so thats all the help I've got )

With UAC turned off, Sage properties file is C/Program files/sagetv/sagetv

ahhh. that would be why I lost my recording schedule when I turned uac off. thanks.
