HD-PVR: How to properly change recording quality
So, this is a new device. Do the recording quality settings work properly from within SageTV (6.4.3), or is there something else that needs to take place? I see a little blockiness off cable, which could very well be attributed to Comcrap compression *sigh*.
Still, an awesome picture though

I don't yet have my HD PVRs, so this is just info I've been told w/o any personal experience to add any other details: SageTV has the recording qualities built into it, so you would select a recording quality like you would for any other non-digital source.
You can also define custom recording qualities using the same method as before, but it will only use the bitrate and cbv/vbr settings. - Andy

Okay, so then... 5.9GB/hr is the highest setting, I guess doing a little math, that equals 13Mb/sec.... heheh
