Remapping to show program data
I have installed a Hauppauge 1600. The Digital tuner maps the HD channels I have available thru my Brighthouse cable and they all tune in fine but the EPG shows "No data" on the program guide. These channels are just duplicates of the Analog channel for the respective network, ie: 91-6 NBC = 8 NBC. Is it possible to remap the HD channels so the program data from the analog will show up on the HDs so I could schedule a recording off these channels? Also if that is possible, will I have the ability to choose whether to record off HD or SD?

Do you have the actual HD channels on the lineup for that or another tuner? In Channel Setup, you can remap the channels to point to another station, so you could remap them to the HD version of the station -- remap the station to WNBCDT, for example.

For each of the major networks that my HD tuner can receive I have 3 listings. First is the analog channel say NBC Ch 8 then the cable Box HD NBC is 608 and then the 1600s tuner NBC on 91-6. What you are suggesting is to map in this example the HD guide for the cable tuners 608 to the 1600s channel 91-6, is that correct?
Would this be to map to a different Logical channel number or to a different physical channel number? |

Neither -- Since you said it is already tuning properly, I'm talking about the "Map Different Station to this Physical Channel" option after you select the Remap button. See if there is a "DT" vesion of the NBC station you are looking for.
... and I'm going to leave my comments at that. I've got my HDHomeRun working fine, but I have yet to set up a 1600 for digital tuning & channel mapping, so in case I'm a bit off, I'll let others respond. - Andy
