Just wondering if you purchased the $249 Sage software/hd extender bundle? or is the custom charge of $21 on just the $199 extender price? Thanks

It was based on the $199.

By the way installed it in 15 minutes (it already had the latest firmware). Excellent picture quality (same or better than my client). For some reason the graphics are not as sharp. But nothing too big.

Love it!!

I guess I got lucky. No customs fees or GST.

Ordered on the 16th, received it on the 28th.

I got mine yesterday it shipped on the 28th. I got charged $12 GST. I was about to tell him to take his COD and put it where the sun don't shine, but my roommate pushed the money in his hand...

Morikaweb most people were charged 21 bucks in custom fees. I am guessing they realized they did not charge you the full amount on your first unit. So 12 and 32 equaling 44 they penalized you 2 bucks? At that point I would of told them to shove it!!

I was charged $34 by customs on top of the $60 shipping (for two media extenders)

For those of you that had to pay Customs fees, did you also have to pay GST and PST?

GST and PST is all you pay plus a $7 dollar handling fee. There is no duty to pay.

I am more worried about the "customs brokerage" fees that you can get from UPS and FedEx. In the past I have been charged around $50 for these - their attitude seems to be "bend over and grab your ankles - we've got you!"

Actually, to Sage's credit, they began using US Postal Service Express that hands the shipment over to Canada Post once in Canada, which is much better than UPS. They only charge a $7 handling fee.

I assumed from their store web page that they only shipped via UPS - it is great to see that they use USPS since it is much better for Canadians - I always try to get US shipers to use USPS myself.
