Vista MCE Remote and HVR-1600 Remote in same HTPC
I have a new HTPC from HP running Vista Premium that has a ViXS PureTV analog/digital TV capture card. I installed a Hauppauge HVR-1600 (Non-MCE). I have been able to get the IR blaster working off of the HVR-1600, but not the Hauppauge 45 button remote.
I can use the MCE remote via the ViXS/HP, but the key presses do not always result in an action on the screen. I somtimes have to press the right arrow 5 times to get the "cursor" to move once. I have not disabled MCE, but I don't think it is running. Ideally, I would like to be able to use just the Hauppauge 45 button remote and blaster, but still utilize the ViXS as an anolog capture card. I may someday want to play with MCE, but not right now. Any thoughts ?
