Hauppauge 45 key remote

Anybody that's smarter than me, help me with this one???

I can't get my Hauppauge 45 key remote to work with Sage, yet a 34 key remote works fine. Yes I am changing the setting in setup menu, shutting down then restarting. The 45 key remote is definitely functioning as it works with my MVP, I've tried new batteries in as well.

In case this helps, the problem started after I tried to add a second Hauppauge HVR 1600 card, my system just would not function with two cards in, both would work fine independently of each other. I believe this is a motherboard / hauppage problem and not Sage problem as if I removed the video card (6800GS) and used the on board video the system sort of worked just very buggy, I believe I was drawing too much power over the PCI bus. So I've removed the second card went back to a single card setup, and now I am left with this problem. I've removed and reinstalled Sage and the Hauppage remote / blaster programme to no avail.

Oh, in case anybody is interested, the best method to stop my HD from stuttering was to a get a $60 outside antenna from radio shack. I'm in line-of-sight of the transmitter in LA (prob 12 miles away), and a little external antenna with booster still couldn't pick Digital signals up good enough, I believe once they shut off analogue in '09 they are going to ramp up the power.
