SageTV V5.04 and H.264 playback

Has anyone had any sucess in getting H.264 material to playback with SageTV version 5.04 (both server and client) with the necessary Purevideo v7 or v8 decoders -- or any other decoders? My Nvidia 7600GT graphics card will support H.264.

I have a love affair with version 5.04 and do not want to upgrade at this time (everything is working great and my HD playback for mpeg2 recordings is perfect) -- but I would like to now experiment with H.264 playback.

Any ideas would be appreciated as to how I can do this.
