Bad Stutter & video_buffer_size What Decoder & Renderer
I have been testing PlaceShifter with good results on recorded shows and a terrible Stutter on Live TV. I read in some of the posts about increasing the video_buffer_size to eliminate Stutter. I tried that by adding the line to the SageTVPlaceShifter.properties file. I'm not sure if it is working but every time I exit from Placeshifter and recheck the .properties file the video_buffer_size line is gone. Am I missing something? Is video_buffer_size still a valid entry in the .properties file?
Any Suggestions? Thanks Can anyone help with some info on what Decoder and Renderer Placeshifter uses? I thought maybe if I better understood what Decoder or Renderer Placeshifter uses I might be able to tune drivers, settings, or parameters to improve performance on my system when trying to watch HD live TV. Thanks Again Last edited by nstocke; 04-21-2008 at 09:14 AM. |

Yes, Stop the SageTV service and modify the file again. Restart the service and you should be good to go.
