OK I have a Sage server license and have purchased a place shifter license. All seems to work with no "Trial" messages anymore.
I now want to install an MVP, I know I will need another license but is it a Client or Placshifter AND how do I input the license code into the hardware. Sorry but I am Newb... |

Placeshifter license
Start>SageTV>SageTV Service Control Stop the service, if service isn't installed/activated you probably want it to be. Start>SageTV>Register Placeshifter License Follow directions. Start>SageTV>SageTV Service Control Start the service, if service isn't installed/activated you probably want it to be. |

Thanks for the quick reply
![]() I have the placeshifter license working fine but now I want to add the MVP. I assume I'll just add another license using the method you describe..? BTW for some reason the service doesn't seem to work properly at the moment so for now anyway I'll be running it from a logged on session. Cheers |

Placeshifter, MVP and HD100 all use the same license. However many licenses you have thats how many simultaneous connections you can have.
Why service no work? |

As long as you don't run the MVP and the Placeshifter at the same time you could get by with just the one license.
