Better output from extender

I have an mvp and its output on my plasma (720p). Obviously the resolution on the mvp is much less. I am not recording hd, but was wondering if there is anything better to display the video on the plasma, like an upconvert or something. My sony upconverting dvd looks tits on it.

Seriously though, anything that avoids transcoding will improve image quality, which is one of the things which makes the HD-100 shine, even with non-HD content.

Any kind of outboard video scaler is going to cost a lot more than the HD-100. Geffen has a new one coming out this summer which is only $699 MSRP, as low as $500 in pre-orders. Usually they're $1k to $3.5k. There are also noise reducers like the "Flea", but those still cost a bundle and don't do scaling.
