Logitech DiNovo Mini Problem!

Hi,

Just got a Logitech DiNovo Mini and there is a problem using it with SageTV. If I use the Logitech software (called SetPoint), then when SageTV starts at boot (I have it set to startup FSE/Fullscreen), the SetPoint software causes it to either minimise, window or exit altogether!

I realise that this is a Logitech problem, but I'm posting in the hope that someone else has fixed/doesn't have the issue, or that maybe one of the Sage guys can take it up with Logitech.

The SetPoint software is not THAT important, as it just allows a bit of customisation. The Mini works fine without it.

Regards,

Nick.

You may want to try something like this:

Startup Delayer
This way you can make sure that setpoint loads up first and delay the startup of Sage until after. It's one way to do it.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion

However, if you use any startup delaying type program, Sage always puts itself back into the registry (if you have it set to load at startup), thereby bypassing the startup delay!

If you set Sage to not load at startup, then using the '-startup' argument to load Sage via the startup delay program will not load it fullscreen.

Not sure what to do now

Regards,

Nick.

If you start Sage and then make it fullscreen you should be able to quit the Sage program and then start it again. It will remember it was set for fullscreen. It should start fullscreen each time you now start it.

DiNovo Mini Problem

Hi Nick_W,

I recently also got the DiNovo Mini, but it seems my play/pause and back buttons are not working in SageTV, just wanted to find out if yours is working. I'm using Setpoint 4.40.88, SageTV V6.3.6 and no customization on the STV's.

Thanks

Hi,

I will check later today and get back to you.

Does SageTV do weird things at startup (as in my post above) if you have setpoint loaded?

Regards,

Nick.

The Play/Pause button works, but the "BACK" button (same as backspace) does not work. However the backspace button doesn't work on my normal keyboard, so I don't think it's supposed to do anything. I always use left arrow for back.

I DON'T use the setpoint software.

Regards,

Nick.

Many thanks.

Thanks Nick_W,

I have uninstalled Setpoint, and now my liking of my mini has gone up 3 fold. All the button now work except for the back like you said. It seems that Setpoint was generating a second key stroke for all the special buttong on the mini, and that is way some worked and some didn't. I'm trying to find a way in SageTV Studio to change the key bindings, but its slow going.

Thanks again.

You don't need Studio to change key bindings. You can configure them through the Sage UI under Detailed Setup > Commands.
