Requesting help with Dish

Hello,
I have found my way here after fumbling around for quite awhile!
I have just set up the Happauge PVR500mce. I plugged in the extra satallite cable to the TV card, (is it called a coax?)
So far, I only have the Happauge programs installed. I used the tuning program to find my satallite using the "cable" setup option.
I do see the tv on my PC, and can use the 2nd dish remote to change my channels when I point to the PC monitor. Very cool!!
What I don't have are the channel listings within the Happauge tuner/viewer program. For instance, For my satallite, (Dish network) it only displays as Ch73.
How do I get those other channels listed within the happauge program? I did see a box in the initial satallite setup that lists various satallites, but which one is for Dish network?
Am I better off using the sage program?
Will Sage find, tune, and list all my satallite channels?
Do I need the remote that Happague sells if the dish remote is working okay?
I am able to access the same menu that gets displayed on my livingroom TV, (Dish DVR522) but not sure if that's what I really want if my goal is to record the shows onto my PC. I would like my TV and PC to act independant of one another.
If I do need a seperate remote, I do have one for an older Happauge card that might work.
If using the Sage program is the better way to go, do I first have to uninstall all the Happauge programs?
Please help! and thank you in advance!!

Since this is a Sage User forum, I don't think too many of us use Hauppauge's software. A basic setup for you would be to connect the Dish receiver to the tuner card via S-Video. Then set up your IR blaster (USB-UIRT recommended) to blast to the Dish box. In Sage's setup, tell it you are using Satellite, and the provider (Dish). It will then pull down the guide data and you can enable/disable whatever your paying for.

Thank you for answering!
I would much rather use the Sage program. It looks so much nicer than what Happague provides!
Being new to this, here comes another stupid question;
When I install Sage, will I then see it's interface over the Livingroom TV set top box as well as on the PC? (It is a dual tuner PVR 522- Dish has it's own menuing program.)
