6.3.10 Crashes EVERY TIME on Playback after Sleep

Hey.

my Sage 6.3.10 crashes every time when it comes back from Sleep and I am trying to watch anything. The display screen goes to black and Sage Freezes.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I have a similar problem, I posted a new thread about 3 weeks ago and got no responses that solved my problem.

I blame the current version of Sage Client - I'm just hopeful a new version will fix it.

Do you have an Intel brand system board? What chipset?

I am looking into a similar issue for a friend. I have concluded that the system is going into suspend mode. Have either of you looked at the windows power options to see if your systems are set to go into suspend mode? I have never seen the issue but my system never goes to sleep (suspend).

Hey, I've got the Intel 955X Chipset in my computer if that helps.

Also, I contacted tech support about this issue and they told me the following:

"Use the configuration utility to set the video playback settings in Sage. Go
to Setup > Run Configuration Wizard > Configure Video Playback. Start with
basic and test things out. Does each setting exhibit the same problem?"

Unfortunately, that didn't help at all and the problem persists. :-(

I've gt an 865PERL chipset. I've tried using Hibernate and Sleep with the same results. I want my computer to sleep to save energy. It has been working fine for years, and the current Sage Client "broke" it waking up from Hibernate mode. Sometimes I get a black screen and sometimes the spinning circle of death.

I've updated Java, Intel networking clients, and made sure Windows XP can't reduce power to the ethernet adaptor. I've upgraded Nvidia drivers and I have nothing added into Sage, it is stock. I kind of gave up - for the moment I just turn the computer off when I am done watching TV, and boot it up from scratch each time. It works fine this way. Again, I changed no hardware only upgraded Sage and it quit working after Hibernate.

Just to follow up if any of you still have this issue:

I solved the problem by installing the newest Realtek HD Audio driver for my system.

As of today Version R1.90 was the newest and is available at:

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

I hope this will solve your issues as well!

This makes sense - I think I had a problem and loaded the original sound driver that came with my system - I'm sure it is not the one you have linked to. I'm out of town until Friday, but I'll try it as soon as I get home.

Thanks for the update.

Didn't work for me, I had soundmax audio on my Intel system board, and I was already running the most recent version. I downloaded it again from Intel's site and loaded on top of my old one, but it didn't do any good. I still don't connect to the Sage server when I awake from Hibernate. I just get a spinning circle forever.

I think you should contact tech support if you haven't already done so. They will be able to help you to analyze what exactly is causing your issue.
