AMD Brisbane 45W CPUs as Sage/WHS Option
Is anyone successfully using the low-watt Brisbane CPU (45w) for serving recordings, etc.?
I'm considering a new server so that I can consolidate my Sage server and WHS on one box, but really want it to be a power sipper yet still serve up my Sage needs without a hiccup. Heat is an issue too as the room it is in won't have A/C. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure they'll be fine, my server runs on an Athlon XP 1800+, a 2.3GHz dual-core should be more than enough

I dont remember which specific model, but I have my "Brisbane" in the server, and it runs very cool, with both cores at 1 GHz with C'n'Q enabled.
I like it...

I'm really liking my switch to Sage and their extender was the tipping point. It works so well, that moving my HTPC from the media room to the 'server' room is now a no-brainer.
I mean come on - Sage, WHS, HDHRs and an HD Extender that actually works out of the box. This is what media centers were meant to be!

I couldn't agree more. That's exactly what I have set up and it's working great. Now I just need another HD100...
