Time to Upgrade Heighliner

Its time to add the STB into the mix for my HTPC. Actually Comcast has forced my hand. In March they're moving Cartoon Network off of basic cable.

Currently I'm running the hauppage 500 tuner with all analog signals. The rest of my setup can be seen in my signature down below.

Basically I need the fastest solution, which can include the purchase of another tuner. I suppose that I can get another 500 or one of the later hauppage dual tuners.

I've read some of the other threads but don't understand what kind of cable to use to run from my STB to my tuner.

Any suggestions on how I should proceed?

All you really need is an IR blaster. You can connect the box to the S/Video on the PVR 500 and set it up as the third source. Of course, you'll still only be able to record two things at once.

Thanks stanger89,
At least with that I can solve my emergency cut-over quickly. This way I can take my usual evaluation time to figure our that the next extension to Heighliner should be.
