What version for HD Extender?

The official version of Media Center for Mac to download (with a free-trial period) is version 6.2.10

While the requirements for HD Extender is 6.3

Is the only way to run a HD Extender with a Mac is to use Beta Software?

Is there any free trial period capability with beta versions or do I need a serial no.?
