Tiny font in UI after upgrading

Since upgrading to 6.3.8, I am seeing a much smaller font being used in the UI menus on all of my platforms (Windows Client on the Server, MVP and Placeshifter). I'm sure there is something obvious that I am missing. Can anyone help? I normally am using customizations (like dynamic menus), but I reverted to the stock SageTV3.xml STV to confirm the behavior. Please see the attached screen shot. Note how the menu items don't enlarge to fill the available space.

Thanks!

You still have some customizations running, even if it is just the hidden extras, or else the date wouldn't be shown like that. Make sure it is using the v6.3.8.0 default STV (see System Info; PS & extenders don't automatically revert the STV after an upgrade install) w/o any customizations active at all. Also, make sure you are using one of the default themes -- Detailed Stup -> Advanced -> Select UI Theme.

Good point on the hidden extras. I had forgotten about that one.
I have disabled the hidden extras and confirmed that I am running the stock 6.3.8.0 default STV using the Standard SDTV theme. Unfortunately, I am still seeing the small fonts.

Attached is another screen shot of the small fonts with the hidden extras turned off and a screen shot of the System Info screen showing the STV version and theme.

I'm sure at some point I did something that might've put my system into this state - I'm just not sure where to look to undo the behavior. It's just weird that this behavior didn't start exhibiting itself until after upgrading to 6.3.8.

I think there is something wrong with your theme because it looks like no images nor any of the things themed are getting loaded -- was it edited, does it not exist, or is the STV being locaed from the wrong path? Did you install to the same location where SageTV was previously installed?

The STV file (SageTV3.xml) should be located in this location:
<install dir>\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3

Below that should be a Themes folder, which contains the various themes you can choose from, one of which is Standard SDTV.

Is that where the STV is & are there files for that theme?

In the properties file for this UI, what is the value for the STV property? It should match the xml file's location from above.

Looked at everything you suggested and everything seemed on the up and up.

So I decided to try a reinstall. I backed up the current installation, then ran the uninstaller. I reinstalled 6.3.8, then restored my backup... being careful to replace every folder except for the STVs\SageTV\Themes directory. I left the Themes directory that was created by the new installation.

It all works fine now. I guess somewhere along the line, something got corrupted (just not sure what or how).

Thanks for your debugging help.

I've had this happen a few times, and it usually goes away after switching screens or restarting Sage.

It never happened until I upgraded from an old CRT to a new LCD TV. I think it might have something to do the widescreen settings, and there was another thread where people were talking about how possibly remote adminning the Sage box on a smaller monitor could sometimes confuse its display properties. But I don't really know too much about that.
