Any reduced prices for older licenses when upgrading?

Hi folks, I've been using Sage for a good few years now.. having brought various licenses over the years.. I stopped upgrading when i was happy with the stability that i had, and somehow kind of forgot about it all.

I've come back today to see we're up to sagetv 5, when i'm still using sagetv 2.2.7.. I am interested in perhaps looking at the newer versions and can see the prices for the different versions of sage, but was wondering if there were any options for me upgrading from 2.2.7 at a reduced price.

What is the latest version a license for 2.2.7 would work for?

Thanks for the info, thought it wise to ask as i've already spent for sagetv and clients before (that are now unused at the moment).

Cheers

Jim

Have I got a deal for you... SageTV: Buy one, buy all. Just back up your files, and v5.0.4.92 can be yours.

I was a v2.2.8 user forever, and upgraded to v5 recently, in your exact situation. I lost Cayars STV, but there's enough that makes it worth upgrading.

Enjoy!

I don't suppose that sage tv client license are the same as licenses for the MVP, I no longer use the sage tv client on pcs and have a license "spare" that i'd be happy to sacrifice and turn into an MVP license..

I'm assuming once updated i can try out the MVP stuff for 7 days and buy one anyways if i like?

Hope my XML import path and actisys IR control all survive the upgrade, and that my system likes it and is as stable as its always been !!

If i backup the entire sagetv dir i assume i can roll back to 2.2.7 by copying the copy back over the sage5 version? would be nice incase of any problems.. there wont be any registry pain that will stop this from working will there?

The client license is not the same as the extender/placeshifter license & the extender trial is now 15 days.

A simple copy over the new install isn't the way to revert -- there is a FAQ on the subject, or see these instructions.

it all seems to work pretty well now.. does the wireless media extender support wpa PSK as i'm having to use a wireless bridge (which does support wpa) to connect an MVP up at the moment.. although i think i read elsewhere that you dont yet sell PAL wireless media extenders which is something that i'd need.

Sage is running well now though, i had an hour or two of pain trying to fix the setup of the bridge as i'd changed SSIDs on my wireless LAN.. something a bit glitchy with it, but its working now.

Cheers.
