EyeTV hybrid detection problem

Hi There - I've been using SageTV on Windows since the 2.x versions. I just got an Elgato EyeTV hybrid for my Mac an SageTV fails to recognize it. The setup wizard reports that no tuners have been detected.

Seems to work fine in EyeTV. I'm running the SageTV 6.3.5RC.

I originally bought a Hybrid for my Mac Mini Core Duo OSX Tiger for use with EyeTV software. I switched over to SageTV, and it recognized the Hybrid without any problem, only it showed up as the Hauppage 950 (which is the actual manufacturer nomenclature). I am now running on a Core 2 Duo mini in Leopard, and it works fine. Never an issue.

I believe Elgato recently (January 08) updated the product. I wonder if they changed the USB vendor info and SageTV won't recognize the new info. Has anyone bought an eyeTV hybrid in the last few weeks and had it work successfully?

I have been told that a future Sage Mac release will fix this problem.

I recently purchased a SageTV Mac bundle (with the myTV.PVR tuner) and have not gotten the hardware to work properly with SageTV... The posts here in the Mac forum seem to indicate that a future release will address the problem, with no estimate of when that release will be available.

It would be a little more understandable if I purchased the hardware independently from SageTV, but to have bought the bundle through SageTV's website I had the (high?) expectation that the system would on a basic level work out of the box.

Hopefully Sage will get this problem resolved soon.
