Seagate 1TB SATAII for $269.99

Seagate 1TB Serial ATA/300 32MB Buffer - Retail Boxed Hard Drive for $269.99 at Fry's

PS. Not as good a deal as I thought since Newegg has the OEM version for just slightly more but these are retail rather than OEM if that makes a difference.

When I was buying Maxtor's it was actually the other way around 1 yr Retail - 3 yr OEM. These drives are both listed as 5 yrs however.

Seagate Drive, How Long Does The Coverage Last? There warranty periods are 1 year, 2 years, 3 years or 5 years from the documented date of purchase, depending on the type of product and where it was purchased and dose matter if Retail or OEM which can be all way up to 5 years.

Best way to tell is just go to their (seagate, Maxtor, ect) website and look up the warranty expiration date, you can put in your drives serial # and it will tell you exactly when the warranty is up, i believe all my drives are Seagate OEMs with 5yr warranties.

Seagate 750G drives are $159 at frys, so 1.5T for $318 was a better deal. Provided that they fail at different times.

"There are two types of hard drives, The ones which have failed and the ones which have not YET failed."
