BTW, if you cannot find that line in the article, it is because CNN updated the article 30 min ago and removed the line :-)

that isn't exactly what I wanted to hear. I just had my withholdings adjusted and might come up short next year because of this. if only we could get the IRS abolished in favor of the Fair Tax.

Wonder why they "removed the line."

They probably remove the line because it is not true, it is adding to the deficit for 07 and 08. I would not be surprised if they considered it income for 08 tax year, although probably not being an election year and all, fed money just grows on trees (chinese trees).

Is this a coincidence? They sent the stimulus to me just a few days before 2nd Quarter estimated taxes are due. I guess that solves what to do with it... On the other hand, that also solves having to move money around to pay for estimated taxes. Maybe they could do this two more times this year...
