Thanks :)
kny3twalker,
Big thanks for the heads up on this. I had to go to 2 stores(one 20 miles North, the other 25 South) to finally get this deal. Even then I had to special order it, since the local warehouse was not sending out the drives even though they had them in stock. But by charging my credit card for it Thursday, I qualify for the rebates. I'm going to go pick up my new HD Saturday morning. PS:Can you believe they only shipped 1 drive. Just enough to fufill my special order, even though the warehouse had over 75 in stock(I'm dealing directly with the store manager). I strongly suspect Circuit City doesn't want to give this deal to anyone they don't have too. Thanks again /justme |

I have a printed version of the $50 rebate that states it's good on purchases until the 29th. I always print out rebates as soon as these deals are posted. That deal was still on their website on the morning of Thursday the 27th, with the $50 rebate stating valid til the 29th. I've dealt directly with the Circiut City Manager regarding my purchase, which actually concluded with a special order(charged to CC) on the 27th. I had arleady been to that store on Tuesday and a second store on Wednesdays, before finding out that a special order qualified as a valid purchase. If Circuit City tries to deny the $50 rebate, then there will be hell to pay. I've aready mailled off my rebates forms and my reciept copies. They better be honored.
I've kept copies of everything and will contact my closest Circuit City tommorrow about this change. The drive has already gone into a Tivo, so extraction would be an undue hardship. I've got this nagging feeling I'm going to have to fight this. Man, I just went thru a simliar issue with Buy.com. I eneded up haviing to refuse the charges on my card before Buy.com finally did the right thing. Why do I have to keep ruuning into this junk.
