TVR 350 output to TV?

Probably a dumb question but how do I get Sage.tv to output through the hauppauge to my tv set? I can get the TV2000 app supplied with the card to output to the tv but when I run sage.tv my tv set is blank (although the app is running just fine on my monitor and I can see my show).

Thanks,

Metz

That's currently not supported, but will be in a future version.

Thanks,

Thanks....

Any idea on a time frame? It's not a Tivo/ReplayTV replacement until you can view on a TV set. Since the Hauppauge hardware cards support TV out I see no reason to drop $$$ on video cards with TV out.

Nothing we can commit to right now. In addition the first level of support for this will only be the video using the TV out, not the OSD. Support for that will come even later.

Video cards with TV out are available now for less than $50 which will then give you the Full Screen Interface on your TV as well.

I agree with you Dan.. I dont like the tv out on my pvr 350 because it's limited to just tv. A video card with tv out on the other hand alows your tv to act as a second display for the computer allowing you to view other applications on it rather than just tv. The problem Im having is the same as other posts Ive seen. You cant go full screen on the secondary display. It pops back to the primary display when you try. Could you add an option for default fullscreen display. This could simply iterate the displays on the system to provide a dropdown (not that many people would have more than 2, but to be clean).

What TV-out video card would recommend?

I just purchased the SageTV PVR-350 bundle. What video card with TV-out would you recommend?

I would recommend upgrading to the beta for SageTV 2 and using the video out of the PVR-350. I have not found a video card that can match the sharpness of the hardware decoder in the -350.

FWIW, I have my PVR-350 in a dedicated PC so I don't have to worry about potential conflicts between it and a PVR-250. My PVR-350 machine consists of an EPIA-M motherboard running @ 1 GHz with 256 MB RAM (from here).
