Pinnacle vs Hauppauge...which is one is best?

I have a setup on an aopen ePC which has a low profile case, so in my search on the market, the only card that find at the time was the pinnacle PCTV 110i.

I've had a lot of stuttering problems with MCE so i decided to switch to SageTV, the quality is not the best but its a lot better than on MCE.

Searching again on the market, i recently find the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 which comes in low profile bracket...

so my question now is, switching my pinnacle for the hauppauge will be any better?.

I'm trying to use this with Directv, and my system is a Pentium D 2,80ghz/ 4gb ddr2 / hd 500gb / hd 180gb / Nvidia 8400gs 512mb / Pinnacle 110i

Thanks for the help!

That is a software encoding card, the Hauppauge PVR150 is a real hardware encoder.

ie it take like no CPU to encode the video.

Hauppauge products are pretty hard to beat, competitive price and more software support then anyone else.

The hauppauge cards are the only analog tuners that support Closed Captioning in the manner that Sage requires.. SO, if CC is important to you, you have to go Hauppuage with Sage
