MVP - OFA 8910 - RC5
We are using OFA 8910/JP1 enabled remotes to control our MVP's, which drive LG 42" LCD tv's. Granted these are $20 remotes!! However they work pretty good and are used through out house to control an assortment of MVP's, TV's, Receivers etc...... (same remote, same function keys etc....)
The RC5 issue has been driving us up a wall, it is not an issue on the STV server, however on the MVP side it just won't toggle the "select" key. I have read somewhere in these forums about a SageTV (rc5) property that may help with solving this issue. WHERE??? I just upgraded to: SageTV 6.3.5.159 SageMC 6.3.6b Java 1.6.0_03 WinXP Pro SP2 Anyone using a sub $50 learning remote that effectivley controls the MVP. This issue, although not earth shattering, DOES have a negative WAF!!! Thanks |

IMHO - Go to the JP1 forums and see if anyone has posted CBL1757. If not request it. It was the only profile which controlled my MVPs power correctly. You can also pull it out of my profile here: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29124
This maps power from 1757 and makes use of VCR0081 for all other buttons. These buttons aren't mapped in the SageTV Remote_Default file, but that was intentional. I didn't want any overlap at all. B

rc5_disable=true But, you are better off with the previous post & getting the remote to use true RC5 codes via JP1 or its built-in codes. - Andy

Thank you for your replies.....
Found a preconfigured "Hauppauge_MVP.rmdu" at hifiremote.com. It isn't perfect, however anything missing can be learned. Solved the select button problem, nicely!! |
