SageMC New User Questions

Sorry -- probably missing something obvious.

I am new to Sage and just starting to experiment. I loaded SageMC using the installer and activated it. Looks very good, but when I went to view recordings, I got a blank screen. I assume that some of my settings are wrong, so wanted to explore them and make changes as necessary. Unfortunately, I can't enter either Detailed Settings or the Config Wizard. When I try, I hear the normal 'click' sound, but nothing happens -- I just stay at the Settings menu. As a result, I can't change anything!

Can anyone help?

Okay, so I can view recordings properly now -- not sure what is different. SageMC seems to work fine now, except I still can get into anything that would allow me to change any settings. It seems like installing SageMC has introduced some security measures that don't allow me to change any meaningful settings.

I am trying to search to find a solution, but haven't found anything yet.

Hi Shaun,

I'm not sure how often the installer has been updated. There's no longer any need to install a base then apply the latest dev build (as described on the installer page).

You might be better off installing the current sagemc from here. Install instructions are on the download page.

That's got it, thanks. I had to uninstall SageMC completely, and then was able to access settings again on the standard Sage GUI. I then downloaded the current version of SageMC from the location from the location you had suggested, and everything appears to be working properly.
